Vera Noon

Vera is a multidisciplinary marine expert, inspired by the cultural heritage of the Mediterranean and a multicultural academic and professional journey. She works as a consultant on marine policy, ocean literacy, blue economy and Marine Spatial Planning, and has a particular interest in the cultural heritage and gender dimensions of the sea. She often participates in the organization of marine centered events and trainings, targeting youth and experts alike. She has worked as an independent consultant with IOC-UNESCO, UNEP MAP, PAP/RAC, and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), and is an active participant in international conferences and fora, where she loves adding an artistic dimension to her content. She has master’s degrees in Architecture, Maritime Spatial Planning and Sustainable Blue Growth.

Vera was a co-trainer in the Blue Planning in Practice 3-day online course for Early Career Ocean Professional (ECOP) in the Caribbean region in March 2022.
